FC Ramblings: “Give me a sculpting tool and I’m a happy bunny, pass me a paint brush and I break out in a cold sweat. Painting has never been my greatest love of this hobby of ours, I expect that’s because I’ve never managed to get as good at it as I would like (as you will see from the painted miniatures on this site). As a result of that, I have always been looking for a way to make the whole process a little bit easier. I started making my own inks and washes a few years ago, partly due to the price of what was already available, but mainly because I simply couldn’t find the colours I wanted straight out of the bottle.”
BTM Washes have been specifically formulated with low surface tension, allowing them to flow into the recesses of your miniatures without leaving residual tide marks after drying. They are intended to bring out all of the subtle details and textures of your model and to provide natural and effective shading without distorting the underlying colour.
Dry Bone is a low pigment medium/dark wash designed to provide soft, subtle shading to whites or bone colours (although, it works well for light skin tones too), although for more dramatic effects it can be used over a range of different colours depending on the effect you want to achieve.
Because this product is a suspension, it will tend to separate to pigment and medium when not in use. Each bottle contains several agitator beads, simply shake well before use – this will put the pigment back into suspension and the wash will be ready to use.
BTM acrylic washes are handcrafted using the highest quality ingredients, they are suitable for both brush and airbrush application.
BTM acrylic washes are water based and non-toxic
BTM acrylic washes are supplied in a bench-safe, flip top 50ml jar
